Dear Friends,

Turkısh Red Crescent, Izmir Branch, is planning to start up a EU youth Project. ( A.3.1.1) It will be about disaster awareness for visually impaired people.

We would like to provide some basic training to visially impaired on how to behave in a disaster, and also share our experience. It will be held as a field exercise. All participants will stay in a precut house and it will be a realistic disaster camp.

Name of Project: Disaster Doesn’t Forgive – AF(F)ET-MEZ

Main goal:

-Basic Disaster Awareness (give information to visually impaired (blind people) on how to act before, during and after a disaster;

-Psychosocial support in a disaster;
-Logistics ;
-Reproductive health in a disaster.

They also will learn how to make a good arrangement in their household and workplace.

Secondary goal:

Intercultural learning with stamps
Seminar about Stamps
Stamps exhibition&exchange
Visit to Ephesus
Creative drama
Visit to a Stud Farm


Glossary of disaster in Braille
Countries guide book in Braille
Sound recording in English


6 countries: Croatia-Germany-Bosnia and Herzegovina-Kosova

5 people from each country: 2 blind (18–25 years old. 1 female,1 male)
2 paid companions (18–25 years old. 1 female,1 male)
1 leader (18–30 years old, fluent English)
Each group should:

— be interested in disaster (or representatives from NGO’s dealing with visually impaired).

Cost: 70 % of your travel costs, accomodation and meals will be paid by EU.

Location: It will take place in Izmir, Turkey, in September.

Dead line: You must contact till end of February.

in order to express our interest in collaborating with your institution under the call Partnership Programmes for Civil Society Organisations Budget line(s): 22.020701 – Regional and Horizontal Programmes Reference: EuropeAid/132438/C/ACT/Multi, We are ready to take in partnership in submitted projects. I would like to take this opportunity and introduce our organization.

We are Türkiye Teknik Elemanlar Vakfı - The Turkish Foundation of Technical Staff. We are Non-Governmental Organization, located in Turkey. Our head Office is in Ankara and we have 14 branch Office all over Turkey.

Our foundation is volunteering based. We have about 20 000 voluntaries. TUTEV is ready to take place in any professional, social and cultural area by bringing all engineers, architects and technical staff together, getting them to aid each other and compose a common wisdom. But the main purpose is to contribute to world peace by forming a tolerant atmosphere. This contribution involves training, projects, cultural & social organizations. It is clear that in forthcoming years changes in science and technology will continue increasingly and extraordinary innovations will happen. And TÜTEV wishes to take part in these scientific and technological performances for the sake of our society and the whole world.

TÜTEV is against all inhumanistic improvements and it arranges some organization to contribute to World peace and fight against with rationalism.

Our basic working areas are training, project and seminars. So far we have implemented 15 EU grant project. Now, we are implementing 3 EU project.

Also we have 10 voluntary groups naming Agricultural Group, Chemical Engineering Group, Environmental Engineer Group, R&D group, Informatics Group, Construction Engineers group, Architecturers Group, Mechanical Engineers Group, Elektrical Electronical Engineers Group and Survey Engineer Group. Our groups make some organizations such as technical or cultural seminars without any fees. Technical and cultural visit and some social programmes.
